Jonas Brothers Kick Off Tour - Cheap Tickets

In the '60s the pop sensation of the day were The Beatles (Paul McCartney, George Harrison, John Lennon and Ringo Starr) who among us can't remember the Beatles concerts and the euphoria that it brought to adoring music fans of that generation.

Today's teen-pop sensation is the Jonas Brothers, an American pop-rock band from Wyckoff, New Jersey that features three brothers - Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas. When Nicholas Jonas was 6-years old he was discovered singing in a barber shop.

At age seven, Nicholas began performing on Broadway and acted in several plays from 2000-2003 before a song that he wrote with his dad called "Joy to the World (A Christmas Prayer)" was released to Christian Radio and quickly became popular on Christian Adult Contemporary Chart. Nicholas performed several popular Broadway shows including, Beauty and the Beast, a Christmas Carol, Les Miserables and the Sound of Music.

The Jonas Brothers started off with the efforts of Nicholas solo project and they were signed as a group by Columbia Records' Steve Greenberg in early 2005 after he listened to Nick's record and liked his voice. It was the song, "Please Be Mine", written and performed by the brothers that clinched it for the group act.

Throughout 2005, the Jonas Brothers performed on several tours including the Backstreet Boys, Kelly Clarkson and opened for The Veronicas in early 2006. The music business like the economy is not without its share of volatility - the band was dropped by Columbia Records in early 2007 and in February started appearing in commercial for Baby Bottle Pops singing the jingle. Hollywood Records signed the group in February 2007 and the Jonas Brothers have been on a wave of success.

The Jonas Brothers' 3rd studio album, A Little Bit Longer is scheduled to be released in the U.S.A. on August 12, 2008. The Burning Up tour series of concerts that promotes this album started in North America in Toronto, Ontario Canada on July 4, 2008 at Molson amphitheatre. Fans came out in droves to the Jonas Brothers at a live an interactive on Canada's Much Music. The Amphitheatre concert was sold out.
